Independent contracting for Michael Deering (02/2006 - current) 3D Artist and Project Management
Duties: 3D modeling and animation in Maya and LightWave for medical illustration and sculptural portraiture, graphic design for logo using Illustrator and flash, Web Design, Photo manipulation for textures using Photoshop, Illustration for Patents, managing contractors and artists for a large variety of jobs.

Sun Microsystems (06/1994 - 09/2001) New Media Innovator and Artist
Art technique inventor for new media, sculptor, animator, story board artist, art to technology language translator, and interface designer, for Sun's immersive media research lab. Highlights: I did the first ever claymation where clay was sculpted then scanned frame by frame by a 3D laser scanner then played it back in a head tracked head mount display. Basically you wear 3d motion tracked screens on your eyes and walk around the claymation as it played back. It looked as though the clay were really there in front of you and animating itself. I was Interviewed on television for the learning channel for a show called Beyond 2000 as one of the first artists to work in a fully immersive (like the Holodeck) 3 dimensional drawing programs.

Symantec (06/1998 - 01/2006)
Programmer, Graphic Designer and Technical Lead
Technical Lead, Interface Designer, Web Developer, Database Designer, Search engine Customization and Graphic Designer for the Sales Communications Intranet called SCORE. I Developed a complex search engine and content management system that worked together to quickly locate information in almost any way the sales force needed. Anyone could be given access to quickly post to the website by simply filling out a form with no HTML knowledge required. Everything posted this way was automatically deeply integrated into many different web pages and the search engine and search widgets. I did the visual design, interface design, database design and programming for the site using ColdFusion, verity, asp, JavaScript WebTrends, flash, Photoshop, painter, automation utilities and MySQL.
